Lamborghinis in Los Angeles accumulate a particular kind of damage. The serious collisions happen, but the everyday work is front splitters and carbon lips meeting driveway aprons on Sunset Plaza, wide rear wheels finding curbs, and low noses collecting stone chips on the 405. All of it matters more on these cars than on almost anything else, because the pieces involved are frequently carbon fiber and frequently structural.

The construction varies more across the range than owners expect. The Aventador and Revuelto are built around carbon fiber monocoques with aluminum front and rear frames bolted to them. The Huracán uses a hybrid chassis of aluminum and carbon fiber. The Urus is a different animal again — a multi-material SUV structure with a full driver-assistance suite. Those are three genuinely different repair problems wearing the same badge.

Carbon fiber, evaluated before anything is assumed

Metal dents, and the dent shows you where the energy went. Carbon fiber does not behave that way. A component can absorb an impact, spring back to shape, and look untouched while the layers inside have separated. That internal delamination is the failure mode that matters, and nothing about the outside surface announces it.

So carbon parts get evaluated rather than eyeballed. Cosmetic damage — clear-coat scratches, chipped edges, curb rash on a splitter lip — is genuinely repairable, including matching the weave direction across the repair so it disappears under clear. Damage that reaches the laminate, produces a soft spot, or sounds dull under a tap test is a different category entirely.

Structural carbon damage to an Aventador or Revuelto monocoque requires a manufacturer-authorized path. We will tell you plainly if that is what you have, rather than doing part of the job and hoping. Being the shop that says no to that work is the reason people trust us with the rest of it.

  • Carbon components evaluated for delamination, not assumed intact
  • Weave matched across cosmetic carbon repairs
  • Separated aluminum area with dedicated tooling
  • Three-dimensional structural measuring, before and after
  • Matte and satin finishes refinished panel-wide, never buffed
  • Paint protection film over exposed carbon against UV yellowing

Aluminum, and the hybrid chassis on the Huracán

The Huracán's chassis combines aluminum extrusions and castings with carbon fiber sections, and each material has its own joining method — rivets, structural adhesive, and welding only where the procedure permits it. Getting that wrong does not produce an obvious fault; it produces a car whose structure behaves differently from the way it was designed to in the next impact.

Aluminum work happens in a separated area with dedicated tooling, because steel particles that settle onto aluminum embed in the softer metal and begin galvanic corrosion that surfaces as blistering under paint a year or two later. Straightening heat is measured rather than judged — aluminum permanently anneals above its specified range, losing strength while looking completely normal.

Everything structural is measured in three dimensions against the manufacturer's specification before work begins and re-measured until it reads within tolerance. You keep the printout.

Matte, satin, and the paint you cannot polish

Lamborghini sells a great many matte and satin finishes, and they are the single most misunderstood thing about repairing these cars. A matte finish gets its appearance from the texture of the clear coat itself. Polishing, compounding, or spot-buffing a defect — the ordinary fix on gloss paint — makes that area shiny and permanently ruins the panel's uniformity.

Repairing a matte panel means refinishing the whole panel in matte clear, matching the sheen level as well as the color, and there is no shortcut. We identify that at the estimate so the scope you are quoted is the scope the finish actually requires.

The gloss colors have their own difficulty. Many are multi-layer finishes where a translucent mid-coat determines the final depth, so the number of coats is part of the formula and appears nowhere on the car. Those get a let-down panel to establish the count, a spray-out card checked under corrected daylight and again in real sunlight, and blending into adjacent panels rather than a hard edge.

Splitters, noses, and living with ground clearance in LA

The front splitter is the part of a Lamborghini that meets Los Angeles most often. Driveway aprons on the hillside streets, parking structure ramps, and speed humps on residential blocks all sit at exactly the wrong angle, and the damage runs from clear-coat scuffing to genuinely broken carbon.

Cosmetic splitter and lip damage is repairable in-house, which is worth knowing before anyone quotes you a replacement part with a factory lead time attached. Where the piece is structurally compromised, replacement is the honest answer and we will say so.

For cars that keep meeting the same driveway, paint protection film over the nose, splitter, rockers, and rear quarter leading edges is the most cost-effective thing available. Over exposed carbon it does double duty: clear coat over weave is UV-sensitive and yellows faster than paint, and Southern California sun is unusually hard on it.

The Urus, and why it is a different job

The Urus shares its underlying architecture with other large performance SUVs, which makes it the most conventional car Lamborghini builds and the one where driver-assistance recalibration matters most. Forward camera behind the windshield, forward radar, corner radar in the rear bumper, ultrasonics, and surround-view cameras all carry aim tolerances measured in fractions of a degree.

Bumper work, windshield replacement, mirror replacement, ride-height changes on the air suspension, and any structural repair can each trigger a calibration requirement. We complete what the procedure specifies and hand you the report. A scan showing no fault codes proves nothing about whether a camera is aimed correctly, and we do not present it as if it did.

Models we work on

Huracán in its EVO, STO, Tecnica, and Sterrato forms, Urus and Urus Performante, Aventador across its generations, the Revuelto, and the older Gallardo and Murciélago where the conversation shifts toward preserving originality.

Alongside collision work we do paint protection film, ceramic coating, color change and satin wraps, wheel refinishing, and full customization on Lamborghinis — all performed in-house at our Beverly Hills shop rather than sublet.

FAQ

Lamborghini collision repair — common questions

Can you repair a Lamborghini's carbon fiber?
Cosmetic carbon damage — clear-coat scratches, chipped edges, curb rash on a splitter — is genuinely repairable, weave matched across the repair so it disappears. Structural carbon is a different category: a component can look perfect while its layers have delaminated inside, so it gets evaluated rather than assumed intact. Structural damage to an Aventador or Revuelto monocoque requires a manufacturer-authorized path, and we will tell you plainly if that is what you have.
My Lamborghini is a matte color. Can a scratch be polished out?
No, and this is the most important thing to know about matte finishes. A matte or satin factory finish gets its appearance from the texture of the clear coat, so polishing or spot-buffing makes that area glossy and permanently ruins the panel. Repairing a matte panel means refinishing the whole panel in matte clear, matching sheen as well as color. We flag this at the estimate because it changes the scope substantially.
I scraped the front splitter on a driveway. Does the whole thing need replacing?
Often not. Cosmetic splitter and lip damage is repairable in-house, which is worth establishing before anyone quotes a replacement part with a factory lead time attached. Where the piece is genuinely compromised structurally, replacement is the honest answer and we will say so. Either way you get an evaluation before a parts order, not after.
Do I have to use a Lamborghini dealer for collision repair?
Not in most cases. California Insurance Code section 758.5 gives you the right to choose the repair facility. Certain work — structural damage to a carbon monocoque in particular — does require a manufacturer-authorized path, and we will tell you when that applies to your car rather than attempting work that belongs elsewhere.
Will my Urus driver-assistance systems work correctly afterward?
Yes, because they get recalibrated and documented. Bumper work, windshield replacement, mirror replacement, and air-suspension ride-height changes can each trigger a calibration requirement on the Urus, and camera aim tolerances are fractions of a degree. You receive the calibration report with the car.
How long does a Lamborghini repair take?
Cosmetic and splitter work is usually days rather than weeks. Panel repair with refinishing runs one to three weeks, and structural work with calibration considerably longer. Parts are the dominant variable — many body components are built to order on the factory's schedule, and a matte or multi-layer refinish adds paint-shop time that cannot be compressed. We give you an honest range at the estimate.
